I like the symbolism of this one. The dreamer and the dream, it says to me. The probable selves that we all are. Like I could have been a musician instead of an artist if circumstances had been only slightly different. But I enjoy my musical side through the creativity of the thousands of musicians out there who didn't become artists.
So the housewife could have been a dancer, or was a dancer, or is a dancer in another dimension. She can dream intensely enough to experience it as real.
I am finding my own art becoming more abstract also. I believe it is because I am beginning to see that Truth is to be found in the abstract, which is timeless, eternal and cannot change. In the opposite direction is the concrete, specific, which changes and decays. It's unstable and chaotic. But the abstract is pure and always beautiful.
